DIY Potterybarn Norwood Mini Bar 

Since the Norwood Mini Bar was discontinued right before we were ready to purchase it, we decided to create our own. For about half the cost of 

Potterybarns’ our diy project was completed and with our own customizations. 

Here’s the list of stuff we purchased for the bar:

Carson 2-Shelf Bookcase - Espresso

We knew we would use a bookshelf for this project so we started searching online for some possible options. It would’ve been cheaper had we gone thrifting for a fairly deccent bookshelf, but we really liked the look and the color “espresso” of this shelf. To create the actual bar, I simply built the shelf as directed but took out the side panels and excluded the back covering. Doing so, opened the bookshelf right up!

Classic Toilet Paper Holder - Oil-Rubbed Bronze

Towel rack is a must with a mini wet bar. Especially if you tend to spill stuff all the time like myself. Since we couldn’t find a towel rod that’s 10”  wide (the width of the actual bar) at the actual store we opted for the toilet paper holder. It’s stylized enough that it would fit with the rest of the bar.

Stackable Wine Rack Set of 2 - Bronze

For the wine rack at the bottom shelf, we used this stackable rack. The 2nd tier is currently not utelized, but at least it gives us space to grow our wine stock in the future. Again, you can probably find something cheaper.

For the mounted beer bottle opener, I just tied one of my keychain beer bottle opener with a yarn and a push pin pinned onto the bar.

The rest of the stuff we got from different places, but mainly Target for the turquoise towel, the tray on top and the basket holding all the other accessories. 

Total cost of the project: $115.20 in comparison to Potterybarns $299.99

I think we made out pretty well!
